About the campsite: 

Some 135km far from Ahmedabad City – at the edge of LRK – aka Little Rann Of Kutch, in a desert – at a secluded area, going to have a full astronomical observation setup. Setup that comprises of variety of Telescopes.

Celebrating Christmas Night with Stars – Folk Music – Bon Fire & Telescopes.

It is located on the edge of Little Rann of Kutch, which is an extension of the Rann of Kutch onto Saurashtra.

Under the starry night in the month of December 2022, Far from city light and noise, there is this place where Deep Sky Wonders like Galaxies, Nebulas, Planets and Stars are awaiting for you to get explored and surely a great place to relish the night wonders with your family.

Besides Astronomical observation, the location is unique as the Traditional Homestay is ideally located at the junction of the Little Rann of Kutch (Tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site) & Jhinjhuvada (1,000 Years Old Living Heritage Village) and is owned & run by the descendants of the Rulers of the erstwhile native state of Jhinjhuvada.

Event organized in TWO PARTS – PART A & PART B

PART A – is ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY PARADISE – is for dedicated Astrophotographer and limited to 25 Seats only and will be on 24^th December – 25^th December 2022

 

PART B – is CHRISTMAS NIGHT STARGAZING AT A DESERT – NO AGE LIMIT – FULL NIGHT STARGAZING – 25^th December – 26^th December 2022.

Amateur & novice users can also join in and experience the night sky in an unforgettable way with big aperture telescopes and celestial objects.

This event site is situated at around 125-135 km from Ahmedabad, one can easily reach by any public or private transport. Please contact us if you have any query.

 

Child Policy: 

1. Children below 5 years can join without any charges
2. Children between 5 to 12 years can book the child package (half charge).

VSSE02 – PART A – Day 1 -24^th December 2022– SATURDAY –

12:30 PM: Pick up from Iscon Circle, Ahmedabad

4.30 PM:  Arrive at the event location – SITE A – BASE CAMP

4.30-5 PM: Once settled down, have your WELCOME HI – TEA

5 -6 PM: LEAVE FOR SITE B – MAIN SITE – AT EDGE OF LRK

7 PM Onwards – Astrophotography

 

VSSE02 – PART B – Day 2 –25^th December 2022- SUNDAY –

12:30 PM: Pick up from Iscon Circle, Ahmedabad

4.30 PM:  Arrive at the event location – SITE A – BASE CAMP

4.30-5 PM: Once settled down, have your WELCOME HI – TEA

5 -6 PM: LEAVE FOR SITE B – MAIN SITE – AT EDGE OF LRK

6-7 PM: Introduction & Participants can have their setup (If they brought)

7-7.30 PM: Astronomy Orientation – Equipment Know-how

7.30-8.30 PM: Dinner Time

8.45 – On Wards: Astronomical Observation:

VSSE02 – PART B – Day 3 –26^th December 2022- MONDAY –

Session 02: Deep Sky Objects (DSO) – Galaxies etc.

Session 03: Planet hunting in the morning

7-8 AM Morning Tea Break

Session 04: Solar Observation after Breakfast with Dedicated Solar Hydrogen Alpha Telescope & Solar Films

9 AM: Leave from the event site

Recommendations & Advisory:

1. Washroom facilities are common to all – Make shift Washrooms will be developed at desert.
2. Keep note of Event Organizers’ Instructions
3. Do not litter
4. It’s solely Parents / Guardians’ responsibility to take care of Kids during the whole event.

 

Cancellation Policy:

1. If cancellations are made before 22^nd December 2022, 11 AM than 30% cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
2. If cancellations are made after 22^nd December 2022, 11 AM and before 23^nd December 2022 – 11.59 PM, than 80% cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
3. If cancellations are made on event day than Full 100% cost will be charged as cancellation charges.
4. In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases organizer will try their best to provide an alternate feasible option for refund. However a cash refund will not be applicable.
5. Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the event Detail pages.

 

Refund Policy:

1. The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business working days
2. All applicable refunds will be done in participant’s UPI or Bank Transfer and subject to Organizers discretion of selection of mode of transfer of refund money.

 

Booking Confirmation Policy:

1. The participant receives a confirmation mail via email within 24 hours of successful booking
2. In case client ask for some changes in their selection of packages than rebooking for the new selected package will be done and another confirmation mail will be sent.
3. Alternatively, the client may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed and is subject to cancellation policy.
